Depending on the building, condo fees may cover essentials like heat, water, and building insurance, all expenses you’d be paying separately in a house. They can also include perks like 24/7 concierge service, security, maintenance, and access to amenities such as a gym, pool, party room, or rooftop terrace.
The key? Ask what’s included. A slightly higher fee that covers multiple utilities and amenities might actually be more cost-effective (and enjoyable!) than a lower fee with fewer inclusions.
