Nesting and the Matrimonial Home
I recently had a meaningful conversation with certified divorce coach Leona Harvie about a trend we’re seeing more often: separating families staying in the matrimonial home longer, or exploring a model called nesting.
For some, it can provide short-term stability, especially for children. But it’s not one-size-fits-all. In many situations, it can unintentionally delay healing and leave everyone feeling stuck between chapters.
Sometimes, selling the matrimonial home and creating two fresh spaces allows families to exhale, reset, and truly begin moving forward. Even in a quieter or shifting market, balance (emotional, financial, and practical) still matters.
If you’re quietly wondering what the next step could look like, know that we’re here for a thoughtful, no-pressure conversation.
