Last weekend, Steven and I, along with a friend, dined at Sorrel, a charming spot nestled in Toronto’s Summerhill/Rosedale neighbourhood. Sorrel has become a reliable favourite for us, especially when we’re craving the freshest, top-quality fish and impeccable service. As always, the restaurant was buzzing with energy – packed with people who know they’re in for a great meal.
A few of the highlights of our evening were the Chilean Seabass, Orata and tartare, all standout dishes. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Their wine list is equally impressive, with a thoughtful selection that pairs wonderfully with their seafood offerings.
While Sorrel has its well-earned reputation for being a lively place, we were intrigued to learn that they’ve recently opened a sister restaurant, A Cote, right next door. It features the same menu but offers a quieter, more intimate atmosphere – perfect for when you want the same delicious food in a slightly more relaxed setting.
Whether you’re in the mood for a vibrant night out or something a little more low-key, Sorrel continues to deliver on all fronts: ambiance, food, and service. It’s a neighbourhood gem that never disappoints.
