Why Experience Matters Most in Real Estate

Why Experience Matters Most in Real Estate

Recently, I had a conversation with another experienced realtor that stayed with me long after it ended.

We began discussing some broader industry statistics, but the conversation quickly became about something much deeper. It became about responsibility, experience, mentorship, and what clients truly need during major life transitions.

Because real estate is rarely just about buying or selling a home.

It is about helping people navigate moments that are often emotional, financially significant, and deeply personal. Downsizing. Divorce. Estate sales. Blending families. Major transitions that require more than paperwork and a sign on the lawn.

What many experienced professionals are finding right now is that transactions have become increasingly complex, requiring more communication, more problem solving, and more guidance than ever before.

This is not about criticizing newer agents. Every experienced professional started somewhere, and learning never stops. In fact, mentorship and collaboration within this industry matter tremendously.

But it is also important to acknowledge the value that experience, judgment, and calm guidance bring when emotions are high and the stakes are significant.

After more than 30 years in this business, and alongside Cheryl’s 45 years of experience, one thing continues to guide us. People deserve support that goes far beyond the transaction itself.

In my newest blog post and episode of Beyond the Sale, I share reflections on today’s market, the importance of trusted guidance, and why the right people around you can truly change the entire experience.

I would love for you to watch, read, and share your thoughts.
